Churchill is a small town with only 800 residents in Manitoba, Canada.

Although Churchill is a popular travel destination in the world, there are no roads that lead here.

Therefore all tourists and supplies must be transported by air or train.

Air travel to Churchill is run by Calm Air International. , It takes about 2 hours to fly from Winnipeg (YWG) – Churchill(YYQ)

Another option is to enjoy the 45 hours journey by VIA Rail Canada, Depart every week Sunday and Tuesday at noon from Winnipeg to Churchill.

The adventure starts at Churchill

The Churchill River is the only place in the world where you can get up close and personal with beluga whales in the Arctic. Every summer, about 4,000 beluga whales travel to the Churchill River to feed, mate and give birth.

Town and area tour

Angela will warmly welcome you at the Churchill Airport to start the first day of the Beluga tour.

A two-hour town tour begins after check-in with a fascinating visit to the ‘Eskimo’ Itsanitaq Museum followed by the Polar Bear International research facility and Park Canada Visitors Center, also Learn about the lives of local residents and experience local customs.

**Tide and Weather Permitted**

During the golden twilight, Brendan McEwan will cruise up and down his boat and lead you in search of the curious beluga whales in the Churchill River.

The actual departure time needs to be finalized according to the weather and tide conditions of the day and will be notified two hours before departure on the day.

At 7 a.m. in the morning, a simple breakfast will be served in the hotel lobby at iceberg inn.

A Summer Tundra Buggy® Day Tour is one of the best ways to experience the magnificent ecosystems surrounding Churchill. With the most special permits to access the trail network in the Churchill Wildlife Management Area, explore the tundra while your driver provides interpretation about the colourful flora, amazing fauna and incredible history of this unique sub-arctic environment.

Experience the summer scenery and scan the landscape for arctic fox, arctic hare, caribou and the first polar bears to return from their annual hunt on the sea ice. Churchill is also an incredible destination for bird lovers, with over 200 different species migrating through the area each summer

Under clear summer skies, you can watch the colorful artistry of the aurora borealis light up the pitch-black nights.

Our Leader, Angela Mak will lead the team to look for the wonderful Northern Lights in Churchill and will provide free photos as souvenirs.

At 8 a.m. in the morning, Full breakfast will be served at the Seaport Hotel.

A 4 hours photo tour departs at 9 a.m., visit Cape Merry Batters, Miss piggy plane wreck, Polar bear jail, MV Ithaca, visit the rocket research range, Golf Ball, launch road (possible to view polar bears and other wildlife)greatly increases the chances of catching various rare wild animals such as polar bears, arctic snow foxes, hares, and snowy owls.

The Photo tour is led by Angela Mak – Group members travelling in a 4×4 14 seats mini bus will have plenty of outdoor exploration time,

Our leader will take photos during the journey to your souvenirs.

A 3-hour kayaking or paddle boarding will depart at 2 p.m.

At 8 a.m. in the morning, Full Breakfast will be served at Seaport Hotel.

Helicopter tour will depart at 9 a.m., An unforgettable 45 min flight across the taiga, tundra, and the boreal forest take you into the realm of the polar bear. Rarely seen polar bears up to 15oo lb rest and test their strength while patiently waiting for the sea ice to form. Further inland you may see females with their playful cubs.

Along the way, you may see moose, caribou, seal, arctic fox, and many more of the diverse creatures that inhabit this pristine wilderness.

This Helicopter ride requires three guests to travel together.

Historical Sites Tour Agenda:

  • The excursion is led by experienced photographer, Angela Mak.  cruising in her 4×4 mini buggy visit all of Churchill’s fascinating local historical sites including Cape Merry Batters, Miss piggy plane wreck, Polar bear jail, the MV Ithaca shipwreck, member will have a break at the Northern study center and continue to visit the rocket research range, abandoned ‘Golf Ball’ radar station, and launch road, where it is sometimes possible to view polar bears and other Arctic wildlife.
